The vines are still hibernating, just before they begin to leaf out in the Spring.

In March, before the vines leaf out, grasses are mowed to bring all nutrients to the vines.

The beginning of very tiny clusters of grapes starting to form in early Spring.
|
Late Spring buds bloom and are ready for pollination. Then the fruit begins to set.
|
This starts the ripening process, called "veraison". Red wine grapes change from green to red.
|
Some grape bunches are removed creating more intense flavors.
Harvest is mid to late October.
